The air is different and there is a new energy surrounding me and my life. The days are getting longer, the light is sharper, and flowers are starting to bloom. The garden is waking up after a very wet and cold winter. The daffodils are in full bloom and they look brilliant. Their yellow colour reflects the warmth and joy I am feeling. New buds are evident everywhere and the energy of growth in progress abounds. It really feels great to be alive.

Change is also in the air for me. Last week I began a new role within my institution in our Elearning Office which doesn’t involve teaching. I am excited by this challenge before me.

The time has arrived for me to become more focused. A part of this is a need to separate out my personal writing from my educational interests.

Lynsey and I have been working on a number of projects and one of these has involved the decision to establish a new blog – Seeking – where we will report on our explorations into the fields of learning, communication, and the social technologies facilitating these collaborative pursuits. We have lots of plans for this new space and we hope many of you will join us there.

As for Marica’s Meanderings, I intend to focus on the more personal stories of life and the lessons we learn from these. This is a continual unfolding of what it means to be alive, to live life to the full, to never look back and say “if only …”

This is a work in progress – just like me and my life!

Update February 2009 – We have decided to take down the Seeking blog so it is no longer available for viewing. However, the postings that were on that site have been incorporated into this site.
