Trees shouldn’t be this colour
I know
They were
A camera doesn’t lie
Or does it?
Transfixed by the colours
Each new colour reframed the familiar
Changing it
Making it new
The still night air
The lights
The plants
Buzzing because of this electrical transformation
People
Music
Mist
Bubbles
Moments in time
The ephemeral nature of it all
New yet old
Different yet the same
A summer evening in Wellington worth remembering
The botanic gardens
Alive in the dead of night
The special in the ordinary.
